The bench can move along two axes:
AXIS "X": horizontal
AXIS "Y": vertical
Axis X: an optical line with a reading
sensitivity of 0.01mm is aligned on this axis
with a centesimal comparator being fixed on to
the control equipment support surface.
Two movements can therefore be performed along
the X axis, namely:
- the carriage can be positioned by acting
on the front flywheel, and
- the top surface can be released, thus permitting
it to move independently of the support carriage.
The combination of these two movements permits
to measure:
- mesh eccentricity
- tooth head
- tooth meshing clearance
Axis Y: a second optical line with a sensitivity
of 0.01 mm is aligned on this axis. Movement of
this axis permits to measure:
- displacement of the toothing axis
